Chuck Wicken

Chuck Wicken has been a reliable fixture on inland rivers for 23 years. He has been acquiring extensive knowledge on catching salmon and steelhead in western Washington for over 40 years, predominantly the Chehalis River Basin and the Cowlitz and Columbia Rivers. He also spends every early spring on the Olympic Peninsula fishing for winter steelhead. The area around Forks, Washington is one of the most beautiful areas in the world to fish and one of the last strong runs of native steelhead in the state.

Chuck has been doing this so long and so well, that several of his previous clients are now part of his competition!

Whether you are interested in pulling Quikfish or casting spinners in the Satsop or Chehalis Rivers, Chuck knows where the fish are and how to catch them. If you are interested in drifting bait with light tackle on the Cowlitz, Lewis, or Wynootchee Rivers, Chuck will match techniques to anglers’ skill level. Only the highest quality tackle and bait are used, all you have to bring are your lunches and licenses.

Chuck also guides on the Columbia for salmon, steelhead, and sturgeon, and books trips for steelhead on the Snake River in eastern Washington. Chuck has three boats for different requirements, a 22‘jet boat, a 17′ jet boat and a 17′ drift boat.

Chuck is fully insured and holds a Coast Guard License, guide licenses with the state of Washington, and current CPR and First Aid cards.
